Basic Controls
VOLUME
Controls the overall gain of the Pre-Amp.
TREBLE
Controls the boost/cut of the treble frequencies.
MIDDLE
Controls the boost/cut of the midrange frequencies.
BASS
Controls the boost/cut of the bass frequencies.
Special Functions
SHAPE (SST, SPT)
Controls the “Shape” of the instrument’s tonal character. The Shape control
simultaneously adjusts the Treble / Bass and Mid frequencies boost and cut
at pre-determined intervals. When the slider is adjusted flat, there is no
effect on the tone.
LOW BATTERY (AEQ3-MX)
When the battery level decreases below optimum levels, this indicator
will blink.
BATTERY & B-CH (AEQ-45, AEQ-303, AEQ-201)
Pressing this button tests the battery voltage. If the LED does not light, the
battery needs to be changed.
BLEND (AEQ3-MX)
Controls the balance between the signals of the Ibanez magnetic pickup
and the Fishman
®
Sonicore™ under-saddle pickup.
PHASE (SST, SRTn, SPT, AEQ3-MX)
Reverse the phase to reduce feedback.

eingestellt wird, wird der Klang nicht beeinflusst.
LOW BATTERY (AEQ3-MX)
Wenn die Batteriespannung unterhalb optimaler Werte fällt, blinkt diese
Anzeige.
BATTERY & B-CH (AEQ-201, AEQ-303, AEQ-45)
Durch Drücken dieser Taste wird die Batteriespannung getestet. Wenn die
LED nicht leuchtet, muss die Batterie ersetzt werden.
BLEND (AEQ3-MX)

Preamp

(AEQ-200T)
Durch Drücken dieser Taste wird das Stimmgerät abwechselnd ein-/
ausgeschaltet. Es lässt sich nur einschalten, wenn ein Gitarrenkabel an
der Gitarrenbuchse angeschlossen ist. Das Stimmgerät schaltet sich nicht
automatisch aus. Wenn Sie also den Stimmvorgang beendet haben, sollten
Sie den TUNER-Schalter erneut betätigen, um das Gerät auszuschalten.
Während des Betriebs des Stimmgerätes wird der Ausgang
stummgeschaltet und das an der Gitarrenbuchse anliegende Signal ist
nicht zu hören.
Nach dem Einschalten ist eine Schutzschaltung aktiv, sodass das
Stimmgerät auf eine leise gespielte Note eventuell nicht reagiert.

Voyants LED TUNING GUIDE

Remarque

Afin d’économiser les piles, débranchez le câble de la guitare lorsque vous

NOTCH (SRTn)
This is a notch filter that reduces feedback.
[Using the SRTn notch filter]
First set your SRTn preamp to the following settings.
1
Tone Control Knobs: Equalized to your taste.
2
Volume Control: As high as you like it but without feedback.
3
Notch Control: At lowest frequency (fully counter-clockwise).
Next, use the following procedure to make the correct settings.
1. Slowly turn the VOLUME knob toward the right, and stop at the point
where feedback begins to occur.
2. At the point that feedback begins press the PHASE switch. (It does not
matter which position the PHASE switch was in to start with.)
3. If you can avoid feedback by pressing the PHASE switch, try raising
the VOLUME slightly in that state. If feedback does not occur even
after you've raised the volume to the desired level, then you can simply
enjoy playing your instrument. If you are still unable to avoid feedback,
then proceed to step 4.
4. Slowly turn the NOTCH FREQ. knob toward the right to find the point
at which feedback is minimized. When you find it, leave the knob at that
point, adjust the VOLUME as desired within a range that does not cause
feedback, and then enjoy playing your instrument.

Tuner functions
TUNER ON/OFF SWITCH
(SST, SRTn, SPT, Ibanez Onboard Tuner)
Power is turned on or off by each press of this switch. The tuner will
turn off automatically after 5 minutes. (You can turn this on even if no
cable is connected.)
(AEQ-200T)
Pressing this button will alternately turn the tuning meter on/off. It can be
turned on only if a guitar cable is plugged into the guitar jack. The tuning
meter will not turn off automatically, so when you've finished tuning, you
should press the "TUNER" switch once again to turn off the tuner.
While the tuner is operating, the output will be muted; no sound will be
produced from the guitar's output jack.
A protection circuit will operate immediately after the power is turned
on, so the tuner may not respond to a softly played note. Play the first
note aggressively in order to activate the tuner.

These LEDs indicate the note of the strings you are playing. When tuning
sharp or flat notes such as G

, both the G indicator and the

indicator will
light up. If the note shown on the note indicator LED is different from the
one you wish, try tightening or loosening the string until the correct LED
lights up. Be careful not to tighten the strings too much (over tune) as the
strings may break. When in doubt, it is better to tune down and loosen the
strings and then tune back up to find the desired pitch.

TUNING GUIDE LEDs
When the string is in tune, the green LED in the middle will light up. If
the pitch of the string is flat, the red LED on the left will light up. If the
pitch of the string is sharp, the red LED on the right will light.
Notes
Replace the batteries if you notice any of the following things.
• Decreased sound quality or volume
• The tuner does not respond when you turn it on
• The LEDs do not operate when you turn on the tuner
• The battery check LED is lit or blinking
To prevent the battery from being consumed needlessly, disconnect the
plug from the output jack when you’re not using the guitar.

non rimane altro che divertirsi a suonare il proprio strumento. Se invece
non si riesce ad evitare il feedback, procedere alla fase 4.
4. Girare leggermente la manopola NOTCH FREQ. verso la destra per
trovare il punto in cui viene minimizzato il feedback. Quando lo si trova,
lasciare la manopola in quel punto e regolare il VOLUME al livello
desiderato in una gamma che non provoca feedback; a questo punto è
possibile cominciare a suonare il proprio strumento.

Quando la corda è perfettamente intonata, si accenderà il LED verde nel
mezzo. Se la tonalità della corda è calante, si accenderà il LED rosso
sulla sinistra. Se la tonalità della corda è crescente, si accenderà il LED

Sostituire le batterie se si nota quanto segue:
• Una diminuzione della qualità del suono o del volume
• L’accordatore non risponde quando lo si accende

Per evitare che la batteria si consumi senza motivi, scollegare lo spinotto
dalla presa jack quando non si usa la chitarra.

Funciones del afinador
INTERRUPTOR DEL AFINADOR
(SST, SRTn, SPT, Ibanez Onboard Tuner)
El afinador se enciende y se apaga pulsando este interruptor. El afinador
se apaga automáticamente después de 5 minutos. (Puede encenderlo
incluso si no hay ningún cable conectado.)

Con este botón se enciende y se apaga el indicador de afinación. Solo se
puede encender cuando el cable está enchufado en la toma de la guitarra.
El indicador de afinación no se apaga automáticamente; por tanto, cuando
termine de afinar debe pulsar el interruptor "TUNER" una vez más para
apagar el afinador.
Mientras el afinador está funcionando la salida de sonido se desactiva;

3. Wenn das Feedback durch Drücken des PHASE-Schalters verschwindet,

aufzudrehen. Wenn auch dann keine Rückkopplung mehr auftritt, wenn
Sie die gewünschte Spiellautstärke erreicht haben, spielen Sie Ihr

Contrôle Notch: Sur la fréquence la plus basse (complètement à gauche).
Puis, exécutez la procédure suivante pour définir les réglages appropriés.
1. Tournez progressivement le bouton VOLUME vers la droite et arrêtez
au moment où l'effet Larsen commence à se produire.
2. Appuyez alors sur le commutateur PHASE. (La position du commutateur
PHASE n'a pas d'importance.)
3. Si vous ne parvenez pas à éviter l'effet Larsen en appuyant sur le
commutateur PHASE, essayez d'augmenter légèrement le VOLUME à
ce moment-là. Si l'effet Larsen ne se produit pas même après avoir réglé
le volume sur le niveau supérieur souhaité, alors vous pouvez tout
simplement profiter de votre instrument. Si vous ne parvenez toujours
pas à éviter l'effet Larsen, passez à l'étape 4.
4. Tournez progressivement le bouton NOTCH FREQ. vers la droite pour
trouver le moment où l'effet Larsen est réduit. Une fois le moment trouvé,
laissez le bouton à cet emplacement, réglez le VOLUME comme souhaité
dans une plage qui n'engendre pas d'effet Larsen, puis jouez simplement
de votre instrument.

Commutateur TUNER ON/OFF

Chaque pression sur ce commutateur allume ou coupe l’alimentation.
L’accordeur s’éteint automatiquement après 5 minutes. (Vous pouvez
mettre ce dispositif sous tension même si le câble n’est pas branché.)

Ce bouton permet de mettre alternativement l'accordeur sous/hors
tension. Il ne peut être mis sous tension que si un câble de guitare est
branché à la prise de la guitare. L'accordeur ne se met pas
automatiquement hors tension ; par conséquent, une fois l'accordage
terminé, vous devez de nouveau appuyer sur le commutateur «TUNER»
pour le mettre hors tension.
Lorsque l'accordeur est activé, la sortie est désactivée ; aucun son n'est
émis via la prise de sortie de la guitare.
Un circuit de protection est activé immédiatement après la mise sous tension
et, de ce fait, l'accordeur ne réagit pas à une note jouée trop doucement.
Jouez la première note suffisamment fort afin d'activer l'accordeur.
