navigating the vehicle. Sirius

driving. Refer to your Navigation supplement

Forward and Reverse Sensing Systems

These systems can warn you if there is an

object in front of or behind the vehicle.

The system will sound a warning tone that

increases in frequency as the object gets

closer and will sound continuously when

the object is less than 10 inches away. The

forward sensing system is automatically

activated when the vehicle is in D (Drive)

and is traveling under 8 mph (13 km/h).

The reverse sensing system is automatically

activated when the vehicle is in R (Reverse)

and is moving under 3 mph (5 km/h).

Note:

Visibility aids do not replace the need to

watch where the vehicle is moving. Refer to

your Owner’s Guide for safety information,

more detail, and limitations.

Improved fuel economy while coasting

or decelerating

Your vehicle has been designed to improve

fuel economy by reducing fuel usage

while coasting or decelerating. This may

be perceived as a light to medium braking

sensation when removing your foot from the

accelerator pedal.

Collision Warning System (if equipped)

Uses a radar sensor to detect if vehicles

ahead of you which are moving in the same

direction may be a collision risk. The collision

warning system is active at speeds above

approximately 5 mph (8 km/h), and will alert

you with an audible chime and red warning

light which will appear above the dash. If

the risk of collision increases, the system

will increase brake support to help reduce

collision speed.

Note:

 Driving aids do not

replace the need to watch where the vehicle

is moving and brake where necessary. The

system will not brake without the driver

depressing the brake pedal. Refer to your

Owner’s Guide for safety information, more

detail and limitations.

side climate control (dual zone). Turn the

control determines the temperature for the

entire vehicle.

repeatedly to cycle through the various

settings and to turn the feature off.

you will be able to hear the fan operating

inside the seat. This is normal.

Heated rear seats:

 Your vehicle has heated

rear seats. The controls are on the back of

the center console. Press the left side of the

control for minimum heat or press the right

side for maximum heat. Press again to

temperature control. The system will

automatically determine fan speed, airflow

location, A/C (on or off) and outside or

recirculated air, to heat or cool the vehicle to

reach the desired temperature. Press again

to deactivate.

MAX A/C:

Distributes recirculated air

through the instrument panel vents to cool

the vehicle. This mode is more economical

vehicle. Press the MAX A/C button again for

normal A/C operation.

decrease fan speed.

the windshield.

Recirculated air may reduce the amount

of time needed to cool down the interior

of the vehicle and may also help reduce

undesirable odors from reaching the interior

of the vehicle. Recirculated air engages

automatically when MAX A/C is selected or

can be engaged manually in any airflow

mode except defrost.

:

Press to activate and clear the rear

window and side heated mirrors of thin ice

Active Park Assist (if equipped)

an available parallel parking space and

automatically steer the vehicle into that

space (hands-free). The system instructs the

driver with visual and/or audible instructions

with regard to braking, accelerating and

shifting gears in order to safely park the

vehicle. To initiate active park assist, press

the AUTO P button

on the center console.

To stop the parking procedure, grab the

steering wheel or press the control again.

For complete information, please refer to

Active Park Assist in the Driving chapter of

your Owner’s Guide.

not replace the need to watch where the

vehicle is moving. Refer to your Owner’s

Guide for safety information, more detail

and limitations.

Blind Spot Information System (BLIS

®

with Cross Traffic Alert (CTA),

(if equipped)

BLIS

®

uses radar sensors to help you

determine if a vehicle may be in your

blind spot zone when driving on roads and

freeways. The CTA feature alerts you if a car

is coming towards you when you are backing

out of a parking space. Note: Visibility aids

do not replace the need to watch where

the vehicle is moving. Refer to your Owner’s

Guide for safety information, more detail

and limitations.

Blind Spot Mirrors (if equipped)

Blind spot mirrors have an integrated convex

mirror spotter in the upper corner on the

outside mirrors. These mirrors help increase

visibility alongside the vehicle thereby

helping you see a vehicle which may be in

your blind spot. As the vehicle approaches,

its image will transition from the main

mirror to the blind spot mirror. Refer to your

Owner’s Guide for more information.

Ambient Lighting

Illuminates footwells, storage bins and

cupholders with a choice of several colors.

The ambient lighting control is located

on the instrument panel to the left of the

steering wheel. To activate, press the top

of the control repeatedly to cycle through

the color options and turn the feature

off. Press the bottom of the control to

change intensity.

EcoBoost™ Engine (if equipped)

If your vehicle has an EcoBoost engine, you

may, under certain circumstances, notice a

different engine sound. This is normal for

your direct injection, turbocharged engine

and may occur if your vehicle is idling while

parked next to a wall, if you are standing

outside the running vehicle, or in certain

idle situations. This sound comes from

the direct injector system which is used to

improve your vehicle’s fuel economy and

engine performance.
