SAFETY MEASURES
Before using the unit, read this instruction manual carefully and keep
it for future reference.
Use the unit for intended purposes only, as specified in this manual.
Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the
user or damage to his/her property.
•
Before using the unit, make sure that your home mains voltage
corresponds to the operating voltage of the unit.
•
The adapter cord should not:
–
touch hot objects,
–
run over sharp edges,
–
be used for carrying the unit.
•
Check the power adapter cord integrity periodically.
•
When using the unit, we recommend to unwind the power adapt-
er cord to its full length.
•
Do not subject the units to impacts (dust and moisture are
also to be avoided), as it can lead to failures, reduction of
service life, battery damage and to deformation of the unit
body parts.
•
Provide that no liquid gets inside the unit body. To prevent unit
damage do not expose the unit to rain or moisture, do not put
it in places with high humidity (near bath tubs, containers filled
with water, kitchen sinks, washing machines, near a swimming
pool, in wet basements, etc.). Prevent the unit from dripping
and splashing.
•
The unit should not be placed near heat sources such as radia-
tors, electric heaters, stoves, or in places exposed to direct sun-
light, excessive dust, vibration or mechanical shocks.
•
Install the station on flat stable surface in places with proper
ventilation. Do not block the ventilation openings of the unit.
•
Make sure that the wired sensor is not bent or pinched.
•
Do not let foreign objects get into unit openings.
•
Do not repair the unit or make any changes in it by yourself. If
you find any damages, switch the unit off by removing the bat-
teries from the battery compartment and apply to the autho-
rized service center.
•
If you disassemble the unit, it will lead to warranty cancellation.
No parts inside the unit require the user’s attention. Unplug the
unit after every usage and before cleaning.
•
When unplugging the power adapter, do not pull the power cord,
but hold the adapter.
•
For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags,
used as a packaging, unattended.
•
Attention!
Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags
or packaging film.
Danger of suffocation!
•
Do not allow children under 8 years of age to touch the unit
body, the power adapter or the power cord during opera-
tion of the unit.
•
Do not leave children unattended to prevent using the unit
as a toy.
•
Close supervision is necessary when children under 8 years of
age or disabled persons are near the operating unit.
•
This unit is not intended for usage by children under 8 years
of age.
•
Children aged 8 and over as well as disabled persons can use
this unit only under supervision of a person who is respon-
sible for their safety, if they are given all the necessary and
understandable instructions concerning the safe usage of the
unit and information about danger that can be caused by its
improper usage.
•
To avoid damages, transport the unit in original package only.
•
Keep the unit out of reach of children.
THE UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USAGE ONLY
BEFORE USING THE UNIT FOR THE FIRST TIME
After unit transportation or storage under cold (winter) condi-
tions, it is necessary to keep it for at least two hours at room
temperature before switching on.
–
Unpack the unit, remove any stickers that can prevent unit
operation.
–
Check the unit for damages. In case of damages do not
switch it on.
DEVICE CONNECTION
Attention!
Batteries leakage can cause injuries or damage of the device.
To avoid damages, follow the recommendations specified below:
•
insert batteries following the polarity;
•
use only new batteries of the type specified in the instruction manual;
•
do not insert batteries of different types, new batteries with old
ones, batteries of different brands as well as rechargeable bat-
teries of different capacity;
•
remove the batteries if you are not planning to use the device
for a long time;
•
do not dismantle the batteries, do not subject them to high
temperatures;
•
replace the batteries in time.
Notes
:
•
If the batteries are already installed into the battery com-
partment, you need to remove the isolation insert.
•
Long operation under low or high temperatures can
reduce the voltage of the batteries of the sensor (15), thus
decreasing the sensor’s transmission range.
Remote sensor
–
Shift the battery compartment lid (18). Insert two “AAA” batteries
(included), strictly following the polarity.
–
Use the
°C/°F
button (20) to select the temperature measure-
ment units. The selected measurement units are shown on
the display (16).
–
Select the transmission channel number (from 1 to 3) by press-
ing the
CH
button (21) consequently.
–
Install the battery compartment lid (18) back to its place.
Installation of batteries into the main unit
–
Remove the battery compartment lid (8) and insert three “AA”
batteries (included), strictly following the polarity.
–
Install the battery compartment lid (8) back to its place.
Connecting the main unit to the mains
You can connect the main unit directly to the mains using the
power adapter (23).
–
Before switching the unit on, make sure that your home mains
voltage corresponds to unit operating voltage.
–
Unwind the power adapter cord to its full length.
–
Insert the power adapter jack into the socket (9) and connect the
adapter to the mains socket.
UNIT INSTALLATION
–
Place the main block and the remote sensor (15) on a flat steady
surface. Use the stand (19) to set the remote sensor (15).
–
You can also hang the remote sensor (15) on the wall by using
the hole (17).
–
Place the remote sensor (15) outdoors so that the sensor (15) is
not exposed to direct sunlight, rain or snow. The remote sensor
is installed up to 30 meters away from the main unit in the line of
sight. The distance from the main unit and the remote sensor to
any interference sources (such as computers, television receiv-
ers etc.) should be at least 1,5-2 meters.
–
Do not place the unit near metal frames and do not use applianc-
es (for example, headphones) operating at the same frequency
range (433 MHz) near the weather station.
–
The remote sensor (15) operates at the temperature from –40°C
to +60° C. If the outdoor temperature is below -20 °C or if the
remote sensor (15) can’t be installed outside, set it indoors and
install the wired temperature sensor (22) outside. In this case
outdoor temperature and indoor humidity (at the remote sensor
installation point) are displayed in the field (12).
Note:
Make sure that the wired temperature sensor (22) is not
bent or pinched.

Notes:
The available languages for week day indication: English (EN),
German (GE), Italian (IT), French (FR), Dutch (NE), Spanish (ES)
and Danish (DA).

PROJECTOR
The projector is used for displaying the current time. Set the unit at a
3 meter distance from the surface on which the image is projected.
If the main unit is powered by batteries, switch the projector on by
pressing the
SNOOZE/LIGHT
button (6). The projector illumination
will be on for 5 seconds.
If the unit is powered by the adapter, the projector illumination
will light constantly.
To rotate the projected image by 180°, press the
SNOOZE/LIGHT
button (6) and hold it down for 5 seconds.
ALARM SETTING
Note:
If the buttons (2)

Alarm snooze

The alarm signal will sound for 2 minutes if you do not press
any buttons.

You can switch the alarm signal off for 5 minutes by pressing the
SNOOZE/LIGHT
button (6).
The symbol «Zz» will appear on the
display, the alarm signal will be repeated in 5 minutes.
–
To switch the alarm signal off, press any other button.
DISPLAY BACKLIGHT
If the unit is powered by batteries, switch the display backlight on
by pressing the
SNOOZE/LIGHT
button (6). The backlight will be
on for 5 seconds.
If the unit is powered by the adapter, the display backlight will
light constantly.
TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY AND ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE
MEASUREMENT
–
Thermometer integrated in the main unit is used for tempera-
ture measurement within the range from 0 °С to +50°С, and the
remote sensor (15) is used outdoors at the temperature from
-40°С to +60°С. Indoor temperature and humidity indications are
shown in the field (14)

The humidity meters (of the main unit and remote sensor) oper-
ate within the relative humidity range from 20% to 90%.
–
Outdoor temperature and humidity indications are shown in the
field (12)
«OUTDOOR»
.
–
Temperature and relative humidity levels are measured every
30 seconds by the main unit, and minutely by the remote sensor
(15). The data are updated automatically.
Remote sensor data transmission
When the batteries are inserted in the remote sensor (15), it will
start data transmission.
–
After you set the batteries in the main unit, select the transmission
channel number. For this press the
UP
button (2) consequently.
The selected main unit channel number should match the channel
number on the display (16) of the remote sensor (15).
–
The signal search takes about 3 minutes. If there is no remote
sensor signal, the symbols «- -. -» will be shown in the field (12)
«
OUTDOOR
». -».
–
To start a new search, press and hold down the
UP
button (2)
for 2 seconds.
Note:
You can connect the unit with two additional sensors operat-
ing on the frequency of 433 MHz. To do so every sensor should
be assigned its own channel number (from 1 to 3). To view data
from different sensors, press the
UP
button (2) consequently. If
a sensor does not support the humidity measurement function,
the symbols «- - -» will be shown in the field (12)

in humidity value.
Memory function
The unit memory keeps the data of maximal and minimal tempera-
ture values and relative humidity level.
–
Consequently press the
DOWN
button (1) to view:
•
the maximal temperature and humidity values (the symbol
«MAX»
in the corresponding field),
•
the minimal values (the symbol
«MIN»
),
•
the current values.
•
To clear the unit memory, press and hold the
DOWN
button (1)
for 2 seconds while the unit is in the maximal or minimal value
displaying mode.
Warning signal of temperature change
If the outdoor temperature is out of the range preset by you, the unit
will give a tone signal.
–
To set the alert signal, press and hold down the
TEMP ALERT
button (5) for 2 seconds while in current time mode.
–
The temperature range upper limit symbol
will appear
on the display.
–

When the temperature is out of the preset range, you will hear
a sound signal. To switch the signal off, press any button. If
you don’t press any button for 1 minute, the sound signal will
be switched off, but the corresponding signal
or
will be flashing on the display until the outdoor temperature is
within the preset range.
Note:
If the outdoor temperature is below 0°С, the warning symbol
will appear on the display.
WEATHER FORECAST AND ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE
MEASUREMENT
The atmospheric pressure is measured every 15 minutes. The atmo-
spheric pressure trends are indicated with arrows in the field (11).
Weather forecast data are updated every hour. The following
weather indications (depending on the temperature and humidity
data received from the remote sensor) are shown on the display:

CLEANING AND CARE
–
Switch the unit off before cleaning by removing the batteries from
the battery compartment of the main unit and the remote sensor.
If the unit is powered by the adapter, unplug the power adapter.
–
Use a soft cloth to clean the unit.
–
Do not use liquid or aerosol detergents to clean the unit.
STORAGE
–
Unplug and clean the unit before taking it away for storage.
–
Wind the wired temperature sensor (22). Do not wind the sensor
wire around the unit.
–
Keep the unit away from children in a dry cool place.
