You can assign one of the following functions to the

(Green) button:

Green Mode] (p.76) [Voice Recording] (p.180), [Movie] (p.125) or
[Fn Setting]. You can activate the assigned function by just pressing the

(Green) button.

Setting the Green Button
Green Mode

Voice Recording Press the

button to record sound.
Movie

button to record a movie.
Fn Setting
Press the

button to use the functions assigned to the four-way
controller (

). By assigning frequently used functions to the
four-way controller, you can easily change the settings during
shooting.
The functions that can be set differ depending on the capture mode
used before the

button is pressed.
• When you press the

button in still picture capture mode:
Still picture capture functions are assigned.
• When you press the

button in movie recording mode:
Movie recording functions are assigned.
