WindowsTM Driver Installation:
Note that the installation CD will be requested for Windows
®
98SE only. Windows
®
ME,
2000 and XP do not need the installation CD, standard Windows
®
drivers for Mass Storage
Devices will be installed automatically. Please read the section on disconnecting the
Jukebox from your PC as disconnecting improperly can lead to data loss.
The Windows 98SE Exception
Only Windows 98SE needs to have a driver installed. Windows 95 and Windows NT are not
compatible with the Jukebox Recorder 2.
•
Turn on your computer and wait until it has finished booting.
•
Turn on the Jukebox. The AC power adaptor is required to ensure that the Jukebox
will not shutdown unexpectedly during USB transfer in case the batteries are low.
•
Gently connect one end of USB cable to the Jukebox.
•
Connect the other end of USB cable to a free USB port on the computer.
•
“
Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard
” (Win98 SE only) appears.
•
Windows will guide you through installation of drivers.
•
When prompted for driver disk (Win98 SE only):
•
Insert the included Jukebox software CD into your CDROM drive.
•
Check the box “Specify a location” and then type in the line
D:\Win98SE
or
replace D: with E: if your CDROM is drive E:.
•
Click
Next
and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
•
Click Finish when prompted, and Restart your computer if asked to.
•
You will see an additional drive letter for the Jukebox in “My Computer”.
•
If the Jukebox is not recognized, please refer to the Trouble Shooting section.
•
Drag and Drop or Copy and Paste your files to the Jukebox drive letter using
Windows
®
Explorer.
Disconnecting your Jukebox Recorder 2:
•
In order to disconnect the Jukebox, right-click the hard drive icon with the green
arrow in the Tool Tray of the system bar (bottom right) near the clock.
•
Then click on the “Safely remove …” message.
•
Wait until a message appears in the center of the screen saying that the peripheral
may be unplugged safely.
•
Now you can disconnect the USB cable from the Jukebox.
