Inoltre, RDS offre parecchie caratteristiche di
ricerca avanzata che comprendono:

1. La capacità di ricercare una stazione con

il contenuto del programma desiderato (PTY)

2. La capacità di ricercare l’informazione sul

traffico (TP)

3. La capacità di ricercare automaticamente

stazioni che trasmettono particolari
informazioni sul traffico (TA).

La trasmissione RDS è stata ampiamente
disponibile in molti mercati europei per anni.
C’è un vasto numero di stazioni RDS e molti
utenti avranno già familiarizzato con le sue
caratteristiche e l’uso. Negli Stati Uniti, l’uso
del sistema RBDS è più recente. Meno stazioni
stanno trasmettendo segnali RBDS e le sue
caratteristiche possono essere meno familiari
a molti utenti. Consultate il vostro rivenditore
autorizzato Rotel per maggiori informazioni
sulle trasmissioni RDS e RBDS sul vostro
mercato.

NOTA

Le caratteristiche RDS e RBDS

dipendono totalmente dalla trasmittente che
invia i segnali codificati correttamente.
Pertanto, saranno disponibili solamente sui
mercati dove l’RDS o RBDS vengono
implementati abitualmente e dove le stazioni
trasmettono questi segnali. Se non ci sono
stazioni RD o RBDS, l’RT-961 funzionerà come
un normale sintoamplificatore radio.

NOTA

I servizi RDS e RBDS sono disponibili

solo su trasmissioni FM. Le caratteristiche e i
pulsanti descritti sotto sono operativi
solamente in modalità FM.

Pulsante DISPLAY

Ci sono cinque modalità di display quando
la stazione sintonizzata sta trasmettendo
informazione RDS e la spia RDS sul display
del pannello anteriore è illuminata. Premete
il pulsante del display per passare in sequenza
le cinque modalità disponibili del display:

1. Display di FREQUENZA standard

2. Nome del SERVIZIO DEL PROGRAMMA.

Queste sono di base le lettere del nome
della stazione (come BBC1). Se la stazione
non sta trasmettendo un segnale RDS, il
display evidenzierà “NO NAME DATA”.

3. TIPO DI PROGRAMMA. Questa è la

descrizione del contenuto della stazione
da un elenco di tipi di programma. (NEWS
(notizie), CURRENT AFFAIRS (attualità),
INFORMATION (informazioni), SPORT,
EDUCATION (educazione), DRAMA
(teatro), CULTURE (cultura), SCIENCE
(scienza), VARIED (varie), POP MUSIC,
ROCK MUSIC, EASY LISTENING MUSIC
(musica di facile ascolto), LIGHT CLASSI-
CAL (classica leggera), SERIOUS CLASSI-
CAL (classica seria), OTHER MUSIC (altra
musica), WEATHER (previsioni del tempo),
FINANCE (finanza), CHILDREN’S PRO-
GRAMS (programmi per bambini), SOCIAL
AFFAIRS (affari sociali), RELIGION
(religione), PHONE IN (chiamate di
radioascoltatori), TRAVEL (viaggi), LEISURE
(tempo libero), JAZZ MUSIC, COUNTRY
MUSIC, NATIONAL MUSIC, OLDIES
MUSIC, FOLK MUSIC e DOCUMENTARY
(documentari).) Se la stazione in corso non
sta trasmettendo un segnale RDS, il display
mostrerà una spia PT intermittente.

4. OROLOGIO ( TIME). Display dell’orario

e della data trasmesso dalla stazione. Se
la stazione non sta trasmettendo un segnale
RDS, il display mostrerà una spia CT
intermittente.

5. TESTO RADIO (RADIO TEXT). Altri messaggi

di testo trasmessi dalla stazione. Se la
stazione non sta trasmettendo un segnale
RDS, il display mostrerà una spia RT
intermittente.

Pulsante PTY

La funzione di ricerca PTY vi permette di
vagliare le trasmissioni disponibili per le stazioni
RDS che trasmettono un particolare tipo di
contenuto di programma.

1. Premete il pulsante PTY. Il tipo di contenuto

del programma RDS apparirà sul display.

2. Se desiderate, passate a un diverso tipo

di programma utilizzando i pulsanti TUN-
ING UP/DOWN per scorrere l’elenco.

3. Premete il pulsante PTY una seconda volta

entro 5 secondi. Il sintonizzatore cercherà
di trovare una stazione RDS che trasmetta
il tipo di programma selezionato. Se il
pulsante non viene premuto entro 5 secondi
dopo la selezione di un tipo di programma,
la funzione PTY verrà annullata.

4. Se non viene trovata alcuna stazione per

il tipo di contenuto desiderato, il
sintonizzatore ritornerà all’ultima stazione
precedentemente selezionata.

5. Annullate la funzione PTY premendo

qualsiasi altro pulsante (eccetto DIMMER
o FM MONO).

Pulsante TP

Ricerca una stazione RDS che trasmetta
programmi di informazione sul traffico:

1. Premete il pulsante TP. Il sintonizzatore

cercherà di trovare una stazione RDS che
trasmetta programmi sul traffico.

2. Se non viene trovata alcuna stazione, il

sintonizzatore ritornerà alla stazione
precedentemente sintonizzata.

3. Annullate la funzione TP premendo qualsiasi

altro pulsante (eccetto DIMMER o FM
MONO).

Pulsante TA

Ricerca una stazione RDS che trasmetta
programmi di informazione sul traffico:

1. Premete il pulsante TA. Il sintonizzatore

cercherà di trovare una stazione RDS che
trasmetta programmi sul traffico.

2. Se non viene trovata alcuna stazione, il

sintonizzatore ritornerà alla stazione
precedentemente sintonizzata.

3. Annullate la funzione TA premendo qualsiasi

altro pulsante (eccetto DIMMER o FM
MONO).

Pulsante AF

In alcuni casi, una stazione RDS è parte di
una rete di stazioni che trasmettono la stessa
programmazione (per esempio, BBC1 pro-
grammata nel Regno Unito è disponibile su
parecchie stazioni diverse). Stazioni che
trasmettono questa programmazione possono
trasmettere un segnale di dati RDS fornendo
al sintonizzatore una serie di frequenze alter-
nate in cui questo programma è disponibile.
Se questo elenco di dati è trasmesso, una spia
AF apparirà sul DISPLAY.
