Switch power save standby on/off
Using the
O
key, you can switch the video
recorder to standby. You can select either
”Normal” standby, in which the time and the
cassette symbol appear darker in the display (if a
cassette is inserted) or ”Power save standby”, in
which the display on the video recorder is
switched off.

Power save standby on/off
If a Timer recording is programmed, the unit
always switches to normal standby with display
in the recorder, instead of power save standby.
Settings for the video recorder
Decoder on the video recorder AV socket 2
A pay decoder is registered in the Loewe TV set,
as described on page 7. If you connect a pay TV
decoder to the Euro AV socket 2 (upper socket) of
the VCR, mark this with ‘Yes’ in the settings for
the menu item ”Decoder at AV2”. Select ‘No’ if
no pay TV decoder, satellite tuner or other video
recorder is connected.

Highlight ”Decoder at AV2” (via
”Others”)
Select decoder ”Yes/No”
On the video recorder, select each TV station one
after the other. Press the
M
key to call up the
VCR menu each time and highlight ”Settings”.
Press
OK
to call up ”Settings” and highlight
”Decoder”. Select ”On”. The decoder switches
on automatically if you switch to a pay TV station
and decodes the incoming signal.

Set transmitter channel of
the video recorder
If transmitter channel 36 of the video recorder
suffers interference from a TV station, then
another channel must be selected on both the
TV set and the video recorder.
Select it on the video recorder as follows:
Switch the video recorder to
standby (time is displayed)
Press both station keys on the
video recorder (under the flap)
together for four seconds
The selected transmitter
channel is displayed on the
video recorder
Choose another channel
(– lower, + higher channel)
e.g. display on video recorder
Save this setting with the stop/
eject key on the video recorder.
Set the TV set for station number 0 to this
channel as well. Refer to the operating
instructions of your TV set. To find the
transmitter of the video recorder, start playing a
cassette or have it displayed by the VCR menu
by pressing the
M
key on the remote control of
the video recorder.
