Congratulations  on  your  choice  of  our  appliance,  and 

welcome among the users of Zelmer products.

In  order  to  achieve  best  possible  results  we  recommend 

using  exclusively  original  Zelmer  accessories.  They  have 

been specially designed for this product.

Please read these instructions carefully. Pay special attention 

to important safety instructions. Keep this User’s Guide for 

future reference.

Important safety instructions

CAUTION! Injury risk! Do not touch hot surfaces of the 

appliance.

Do not leave a switched on appliance unattended. Fire risk.

Do  not  place  the  hair  straightener  on  wet  surfaces  or 

●

clothing while it is operating.

Place the appliance only on a heat –resistant surface.

●

Do not immense the hair straightener, cord or plug into 

●

water. Never put away the hair straightener downwards 

so that it can fall into water while it is operating. 

Do not place or store the appliance in a place where it 

●

can fall into water or be splashed with it. 

Do not use while bathing.

●

The hair straightener should only be used to style hair. 

●

If the hair straightener is damaged while operating unplug 

●

it immediately and return it to a service center. 

Never try to remove lint or foreign bodies from the inside of 

●

the hair straightener using sharp objects (e.g. a comb). 

Never  place  any  objects  into  the  openings  of  the  hair 

●

straightener.

Never place the hair straightener on a soft surface such 

●

as a bed or couch or on other flammable materials. Store 

free of hair, etc.

Hairsprays  contain  flammable  materials.  Do  not  apply 

●

them while using the hair straightener.

Never  use  outdoors  or  operate  where  aerosol  (spray) 

●

products  are  being  used  or  where  oxygen  is  being 

administered.

If the non-detachable part of the cord is damaged, it should 

be replaced by the producer or at a proper service point 

or by a qualified person in order to avoid any hazards.
The  appliance  can  be  repaired  by  qualified  staff  only. 

Incorrectly performed repair may cause serious hazard 

to the user. In case of any defects, it is advised to return 

the appliance to an authorised service facility.

If  the  appliance  falls  into  water,  unplug  it  immediately.

Do not reach into the water while the unit is plugged in. 

Do not use a hair straightener that has fallen into water.

This  appliance  can  be  used  by  children  aged  from

8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, 

sensory  or  mental  capabilities  or  lack  of  experience 

and knowledge if they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way 

and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not 

play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance 

shall not be made by children unless they are aged from 

8 years and above and supervised.

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means

of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

Pay  special  attention  while  using  the  appliance  near 

●

children or persons sensitive to hot temperatures.

Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or 

●

plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or 

damaged, or if it has been dropped into water. 

Check  the  cord  regularly.  The  insulation  cannot  be 

●

damaged or broken.

Keep  cord  away  from  heated  surfaces.  Keep  the  cord 

●

away from heated surfaces. Make sure the cord does not 

hang so that it cannot be pulled on or tripped over.

During  operation  the  hair  straightener  becomes  hot.

breaking the cord).

Do not cover the hair straightener as it might cause heat

accumulating inside of it. 

In case of handing over the appliance to another person 

●

please  inform  that  person  about  these  instructions 

for  use.  When  it  comes  to  hair  straighteners  which 

exploitation  durability  has  expired,  they  should  be 

disposed  of  according  to  the  valid  environmental 

protection  regulations  according  to  the  Waste 

Management  Bill.  The  hair  straightener  cannot  be 

disposed of with household waste. Please consult a local 

waste management center.

Attachments may be hot during and after use. Allow them

to cool before handling.

Do not use attachments that are not recommended.

●

Always  unplug  the  hair  straightener  from  the  electrical 

●

outlet after use.

Use the appliance only for its intended use as described

in this manual.

vessels containing water.
