If your database becomes corrupted, you can use a backup file to restore
settings and user information from a previously saved backup file.
Important: Backing up, restoring, and log archive operations start new connections
to the Admin Server. Login credentials will be requested again for those new
connections if the initial SafeWord 2008 Management Console login was performed
more than eight hours prior.
Tip: Before initiating this procedure, log out of then back into the Console. If you
have a clean database (or a newly installed database), we recommend that you
restore your LDIF file before doing anything (like adding entries) in the database.

Select
File > Restore Database.

Enter the filename for the backup file to be used.
Either manually type the full path and filename, or click
Browse
to find the
directory and file.

If an encryption key was used, check the
Decrypt records with key
check
box, and supply the encryption key string.

(Optional) Check the
Log restored records
check box if you want a log
entry to be created for every record restored from a backup.
