Remote Management Screens
23.1 Overview
This chapter provides information on the Remote Management screens. Remote management
allows you to determine which services/protocols can access which ZyWALL interface (if
any) from which computers.
The following figure shows secure and insecure management of the ZyWALL coming in from
the WAN. HTTPS and SSH access are secure. HTTP and Telnet access are not secure.

23.1.1 What You Can Do in the Remote Management Screens
• Use the
WWW
screen (
) to configure the ZyWALL’s HTTP and
HTTPS management settings.
• Use the
SSH
screen (
) to configure the ZyWALL’s Secure Shell
settings.
• Use the
Telnet
screen (
) to specify which interfaces allow Telnet
access and from which IP address the access can come.
• Use the
FTP
screen (
) to specify which interfaces allow FTP
access and from which IP address the access can come.
• Use the
SNMP
screen (
) to configure the ZyWALL’s SNMP
settings.
• Use the
DNS
screen (
) to set from which IP address the ZyWALL
will accept DNS queries and on which interface it can send them your ZyWALL’s DNS
settings.
• Use the
CNM
screen (
) to configure the ZyWALL’s CNM
settings.
