How to Fade Over from the Last 
Recorded Scene to the Next 
(Digital Wipe)

This function makes it possible to achieve a smooth 
transition from the last recorded scene to the next scene. 
When starting to record the new scene, a still picture of 
the last scene appears, and it then changes over to the 

moving picture of the new scene with Digital Wipe.

Notes:

1.  Since the still picture is recorded from the digital 

image memory, the picture quality becomes slightly 
inferior to that of normally recorded pictures.

2.  Performing Recording Review or pressing the [VCR/ 

CAMERA] Button does not erase the picture in the 
digital image memory.

Press the [DIGITAL] Button repeatedly

 

until the “C” indication is iit.

•The “WIPE" Indication O appears on the LCD 

Monitor.

Press the Start/Stop Button.

•The recording starts.

Press the Start/Stop Button.

•The recording stops (Recording Pause Mode).
•The Indication O changes to
•The last picture of the just recorded scene is kept 

in the digital image memory.

Press the Start/Stop Button.

•The picture (from the memory) appears as still 

picture. It is then gradually replaced from right to 
left by the moving picture of the new scene.

■ To Cancei the Digital Wipe Function

Press the [DIGITAL] Button repeatedly until none of the

6  indications is lit any more.
