DHCP Local Relay

Description
This command is used to enable or disable the DHCP local relay function for a specified VLAN.
When DHCP local relay is enabled for the VLAN, the DHCP packet will be relayed as a broadcast
without changing the source MAC address and gateway address. DHCP option 82 will be
automatically added.
Format
config dhcp_local_relay vlan <vlan_name 32> state [enable | disable]
Parameters
<vlan_name 32>
- Specifies the name of the VLAN to be enabled for DHCP local relay.
state
- Enable or disable DHCP local relay for a specified VLAN.
enable
- Enable DHCP local relay for a specified VLAN.
disable
- Disable DHCP local relay for a specified VLAN.
Restrictions
Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example
To enable DHCP local relay for a default VLAN:
DGS-3710-12C:admin#config dhcp_local_relay vlan default state enable
Command: config dhcp_local_relay vlan default state enable
Success.
