config lldp ports
Description
Use this command to configure LLDP options by port. Enable or disable each port for sending
change notification to configured SNMP trap receiver(s) if an LLDP data change is detected in an
advertisement received on the port from an LLDP neighbor. The definition of change includes new
available information, information timeout, information update. And the changed type includes any
data update /insert/remove.
The admin status options enable to control which ports participate in LLDP traffic and whether the
participating ports allow LLDP traffic in only one direction or in both directions.
The config management address command specifies whether system’s IP address needs to be
advertised from the specified port. For layer 3 devices, each managed address can be individually
specified. The management addresses that are added in the list will be advertised in the LLDP
from the specified interface, associated with each management address. The interface for that
management address will be also advertised in the if-index form.
An active LLDP port on the switch always includes the mandatory data in its outbound
advertisements. And there are four optional data that can be configured for an individual port or
group of ports to exclude one or more of these data types from outbound LLDP advertisements.
